I'm a HUGE fan of J Dilla. So when I saw The Donut Shop, I immediately bought it! I had seen this over 5 months ago on the Stones Throw website and it wasn't till like three weeks ago that I actually bought it. I'm so glad I bought it. It's amazing. Great collector's item!

my STOPSMILING magazine came in the Mail!

I found this on the stopsmiling magazine website and just had to get it! I am a huge fan of the Beat Konducta… Madlib! This magazine came with the choice of two covers: NAS or MADLIB. So I had to pick Madlib! I'd chose him over Nas any day. Just because  I feel like there are several magazines with him on covers, he's just so well known. He's everywhere.  So I don't really bother trying to get things with him. Don't get me wrong, I do love his music!

Interpol- Turn on the Bright Lights

Ah! I first listened to this album in like… the 6th or 7th grade. I can't exactly remember. But man do I still love it. Interpol is one of those bands you just can't get tired of! It's also a band I've been in the mood for and can't help but listen to them so much.  Turn on the Bright Lights was their debut album and was what got me hooked. This band is always said to sound just like Joy Division. And yes, I guess I do see some similarities but I think that they have their own sound. This album is one that everyone should give a listen to.

Madlib's Shades Of Blue

If you already know about Quasimoto, YNQ, Lootpack or any of his other works, then expect this to be great as well. And if you're a fan of Jazz and Hip-Hop,  this one is a must. This album is literally Madlib invading Blue Note, making remixes of the tracks of his choice and even remaking them in his own way. It's by far one of my absolute favorite albums.  I can listen to it any time of the day! When I'm cleaning my room, on the road, relaxing, just about anything!
